Tony started his career working at Western Electric and joined the Navy in World War II. He served as a Motor Machinist's Mate aboard submarine in the Pacific and was awarded the American Theater Pin, the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, the Submarine Combat Pin and the Victory Ribbon. He worked for North Western Mutual Insurance Company for many years. Tony is a warm compassionate person and remains very active in his retirement regularly working out at a local health club. He is very involved in his church working as a Eucharistic Minister and in several outreach programs including the Merton House soupkitchen in Chicago. |
