One of four children of John Feltwater and Barbara Santora, wife of Nicholas Jr, and mother of Barbara, Nicholas III, and Irene. Genevieve was born on Nov. 30, 1915 and lived most of her life in Jersey City. In 1992, she moved to Carteret, NJ to be near her youngest daughter, Irene, and subsequently moved into a nursing home in Rahway, NJ in 1998. "Tootsie", as she is affectionately known to friends and family, is a warm friendly person liked by virtually everyone. She inherited her Mother’s friendly easy-going disposition. Genevieve suffered a major stroke in 1985 and surprised doctors by undergoing an almost complete recovery. She also had successful colon cancer surgery in 1987 as well as a heart valve replacement in 1995! |
